Malaysia second home Program.
My Malaysia Second Home Visa Program
MM2H or My Malaysia Second Home Program is an initiative by the Government of Malaysia to encourage
entrepreneurs to conduct business in Malaysia. MM2H is a multiple Visa entry permit with help of
which you can make Malaysia your second home. It’s valid for 10 years of time. It’s a residential
permit with which one can relocate to Malaysia along with one’s immediate family.
Who can apply (Eligibility Criteria)
- Anybody above the age of 18 years
- If you are below the age of 50, then you need to prove
- a. Your net worth to be a minimum of MYR 500,000 (USD 125,000)
- b. Your monthly income to be a minimum of MYR 10,000 (USD 2,500)
- If you are above the age of 50, then you need to prove
- a. Your net worth to be a minimum of MYR 350,000 (USD 85,000)
- b. Your monthly income to be a minimum of MYR 10,000 (USD 2,500)

Provide your medical certificate, your background certificate along with your relationship
certificates (marriage or anything that would be required)
- Need to obtain Malaysian Insurance
How to Apply (the Process)
The process of immigration is handled by the Ministry of Tourism and Culture.

The applicant will have to submit his/her application showing his/her interest to invest and
relocate to Malaysia.

Once the application is approved, the applicant will receive a conditional approval letter from
the immigration unit of the Ministry of Tourism and Culture.

Open an account with approved Malaysian bank and will have to make a fixed deposit of a minimum
of MYR 300,000 (USD 75,000)

Such an amount can be withdrawn after a period of one year is completed for the purpose of
purchase of properties in Malaysia or for educational expenses for children in Malaysia. The
withdrawal amount cannot exceed MYR 150,000 (USD 37,500).

In the succeeding years, at any given point of time, a minimum of MYR 150,000 (USD 37,500)
should be maintained during the tenure of the VISA.

Open a bank account with a deposit of a minimum of 150,000(USD 37,500)

They can withdraw a maximum of MYR 50,000 (12,500 USD) from the second year onwards while they
maintain the rest of the amount for the period suggested.

Every applicant will have to obtain medical insurance from any Malaysian Insurance company

They need to obtain a medical report from a local authorized hospital in Malaysia

The applicant has to submit these documents – bank account details, medical certificate and
medical report, to the ministry following which, the applicant will receive his MM2H approved
Visa.
Please note
MM2H (My Malaysia second home) Visa program is not a permanent residence program. It simply allows
the applicant to live in Malaysia for up to 10 years of time.
This program does not lead to Permanent Residency in Malaysia.
This is renewable.
