The latest draw held on 20th August conducted by the British Columbia Provincial Nominee Program is considered the biggest draw as per the report by inviting 551 applicants belonging to express entry, skilled immigration, and Entrepreneur categories. This draw is the biggest in history since the origin in February 2017.
From the total 551 invitations
skilled worker and Express entry BC received about 527 invitations
Candidate from Entrepreneur Immigration Base Category received about 18 invitations
Candidate Entrepreneur Immigration Regional Pilot received 6 invitations
British Columbia Provincial Nominee Program categories
Skilled immigration category is for a skilled and semi-skilled candidate who’s occupations are listed in British Columbia in-demand occupation list.
Express Entry BC category is for candidates who are in express entry pool with the valid express entry profile. Invitations are only issued to a skilled worker who meets British Columbia eligibility criteria and planning to reside in BC.
Entrepreneur Category is for candidates who are planning to invest in British Columbia for business and obtain British Columbia Permanent Residency.
British Columbia PNP categories are managed by British Columbia’s SIRS (Skill Immigration Registration System). To apply through SIRS, the eligible candidate needs to register first and they will be assigned a score based on age, work experience, education, and language proficiency.
