Impending Changes to the Proposed EB 5 Visa Regulations

EB 5 Visa Updates: As has been in a proposal for a long time now, the imminent regulation changes for the EB5 US-based Investor VISA Program have completed their review on the 28th of June for Modernization of Regulation and are now waiting for publication.
We at this stage, cannot define in exact terms what the changes are, however, we can anticipate an increase in the amount of investment expected from each investor and a change in the Targeted Employment Area (TEA) definitions.
This is now waiting for Final Publication in the Federal Register as Final Regulation, which would mean the implementation of the changes.
Once the Final Publication happens, we will have 30 -60 days of grace period before, the actual application of the regulation.
During the grace period, it has been anticipated by Law experts that the USICS would receive 4,000 or more applications.
