The education system has been categorized four main types:
There are three public universities. Cyprus offers you with programs at Bachelor, Master and Doctoral levels. The language of instruction is Greek and Turkish which are also the official languages of Republic of Cyprus. The policies of the government for higher education are devised to fulfill the needs of their own students and foreign students in order to establish Cyprus as a regional educational and research centre. The system looks forward to make Cyrus – a centre for international students. Its system has been shaped by the European Higher Education Area. The competent body for quality assurance and accreditation of the programmes offered by Private Institutions of Higher Education is the Council for Educational-Accreditation. They offer vocational programmes of study with a duration ranging from 1 to 3 years.
Normally, there is no IELTS requirement. Applications to the undergraduate programs are accepted twice a year.Every applicant who intends to study in Cyprus must have completed a secondary level education or the equivalent of twelve years of schooling to get admission in the universities of Cyprus for undergraduate level or Bachelors level. Similarly, the students must have to complete the undergraduate level education or Bachelors level Education to get admission for the post-graduate level.
However, in certain courses there is also a June intake. Visa for students is arranged by the college.
The students are expected to fulfill the criteria for General Academic Admission, if not cleared the students are expected to achieve a satisfactory Grade Point Average by the end of their first year.

Universities and Colleges English IS NOT a criterion for admission.
All local, EU and International students are required to take the “English Placement Test” (EPT) before being able to register for their academic programme of study. Students with low level of English proficiency will have to register to the English Intensive Course for one or two semesters.
Students with the following English qualifications will be exempt from the (EPT) and will be registered directly to the Undergraduate academic programme of their choice:

Mostly students are provided with on-campus and they prefer to stay first couple years of their studies.
