NSNP – Nova Scotia Nominee Program
This small Canadian province is located in the Maritimes region of the country. Nova Scotia the name

Provincial Nominee Program (NSNP).
Eligible candidates with enough skills and experience will receive a certificate from NSNP. The
various categories under this program
Nova Scotia Demand: Express Entry
This program runs in tandem with the Federal Government’s Express Entry Program. It needs the CSR
score to be a minimum of 67 points based on the factors like age, language proficiency, work
experience, education and adaptability.
It requires that the profile being considered is already part of the Express Entry Pool.
On the eve where, the applicant hasn’t yet received a job offer, they atleast need to have a Job
Seeker code.
The occupation in which the applicant is looking for should have a National Occupational
Classification code and needs to be in the Current Demand list.
The applicant must have a minimum of 1 year of work experience in the 10 years prior to the time of
application.
The applicant will have to have solid education qualification.
The applicant should prove language proficiency
Applicant needs to prove his/her financial stability of not needing to depend on the public funding.
Nova Scotia Experience: Express Entry
Nova Scotia Labour Market Priorities
Sometimes, depending on the current employment demand, Nova Scotia takes profiles on a first come
first serve basis. Such profiles should already be part of the Express Entry pool. Such chosen
profiles receive Notification of Interest (NOI) from Nova Scotia. It requires that the profile is in
demand. Once the candidate receives the NOI, he/she will have to submit their applications within 30
days of receiving such a notice.
Post this, they would receive a certificate of nomination from the NSNP based on which the applicant
can proceed to apply for his/her Permanent Residency with the Canadian Government.
