Family Class Visa Program

This program was designed and implemented to help families come together. The program was updated in the year October 2012. Canada has been inviting profiles to fill in their job vacancies in multiple fields. Most immigrant programs allow family to apply along with the main applicant. However, this program was designed to facilitate for all those who haven’t been able to join the applicant at the time of his/her immigration.

• Evidence proving that you can financially support your legal spouse/legal partner or dependent children
• Document to prove the age of the applicants.
• Your spouse/legal partner should be 18 years and above
• Dependent children applicants should be less than 22 years of age.
• Document proving that the dependent children are not married
• Documents proving the legitimacy of the relationship between sponsor and the partner
• Document to prove the child is yours.
• The partner/spouse/dependent children will have to provide documents proving their education, their language proficiency, medical certificate and Police certificate.
• Letter of sponsorship

You will have to first apply to get approval to be a sponsor.

Followed by this, the spouse/partner/dependent children will have to apply for the Permanent Residency in Canada.

With a new resolution passed, application for sponsorship and for PR can be sent at the same time along with relevant documents.

As per the new regulations of this program, yourself and the partner/spouse in question will have to live together for a minimum of 2 years from the date, the partner/spouse moves to Canada.
